Mack Molding and furniture maker Emeco's bright line of Broom chairs make use of both salvaged industrial wood fibers and reclaimed plastic. Made from 90 percent recycled content, the Broom chair was developed by the teams at Mack and Emeco during a decade-long process dating back to 2003. Eventually, the team arrived at a blended resin - containing 75 percent reclaimed polypropylene and 25 percent industrial wood fibers -that enables Mack to mold and mass-produce the chairs in a streamlined and relatively simple molding process.
