The word "nonprofit" can mean many things to many different organizations. It can mean a group organically coming together to push a particular point of view or advocate on a particular issue. It can, of course, mean a multi-million dollar organization representing and funded by a massive industry. Nonprofit organizations in the world of recycling come in all shapes and sizes, just like their for-profit brethren.
