Nevada will look into the possible implementation of a deposit redemption program for various types of beverage containers, following the passage of Assembly Bill 427. The bill, which had initially been for a nickel deposit on all types of containers that hold beer and other malt beverages, mineral water, soda water and similar carbonated soft drinks, now directs the legislature to "appoint a committee to conduct an interim study concerning the establishment of a [deposit redemption] program."
