Looking to motivate improved battery collection and recycling performance, North America's only free rechargeable and cell phone collection program, Call2Recycle, and non-profit environmental group, the Product Stewardship Institute (PSI), have partnered to issue a series of recommendation for best practices in the industry. The partnership included the release of a report, Battery Performance Metrics: Recommendations for Best Practice, which offers guidance to "evaluate and strengthen battery collection initiatives."
