A simple inexpensive movable Faraday cup is described. It is used for current measurements in pulsed electron beam accelerators. Current pulses of tens of killoamps, of 1‐ns rise time and up to a few mega‐electron‐volts of electron energy, can be measured. This cup can be moved along the e‐beam drift tube maintaining its response characteristics to study the e‐beam evolution.
