A comparison is made of the composition dependences of the mutual diffusion coefficient D12 for the helium–nitrogen binary gas system at 300 K and 1 atm pressure in two different types of diffusion cells. In the first group of cells D12 is markedly dependent upon their geometry, whereas there is no geometry dependence in the second group.
