摘要

An L‐shaped glass Dewar and associated thermometry which will provide temperatures from -140 to 550°C in a conventional NMR crosscoil nuclear induction probe is described. A particular temperature is maintained by streaming hot or cold nitrogen gas around the sample. Details on the relatively simple construction and mounting of the Dewar in the probe and of heating and cooling the nitrogen heat exchange gas are discussed.
