This technical note a brief outline of Roundabouts: Capacity and performance Analysis (ARR 321 by Akcelik, Chung and Besley 1998), and presents some extracts from the report. ARR 321 is a new major publication that presents Techniques for the analysis of capacity and performance of traffic at unsignalised roundabouts. performance measures considered un the report include delay, back of queue and cycle-average queue, effective stop rate queue move-up rate and proportion queued queue clearance time and queue storage ratio.
