Keeping trucks running reliably in winter is a challenge, not least because the sheer unpredictability of the British weather can mean that most of the effort and expense put into preparing a fleet for operation in sub-zero conditions is likely to be wasted. After all, most Winter days here see temperatures above zero for most of the time, and even on frosty mornings it's rare to see the thermometer fall below about -5℃ except in the very north of Scotland.
