Two outcrops placed north of Fieni (Dambovita District) provided, for the first time, Rupelian fossil plants remains. This allochtonous material, originally from an area close to the shore, represents probably two different vegetal associations: the first, a "Mesophyllous Forest type" (with Quercus apocynophyllum and Zizyphus zizyphoides), characteristic for Middle Eocene-Middle Oligocene from Europe, and the second one, with a restrained development, with hydrofile plants (Chamaecyparis argesiensis, Sequoia abietina) characteristic to the swamps and bogs.
