The following websites have been selected by the Rotorcraft Forecast analysts as being of particular interest to clients of Rotorcraft Forecast. Note that these sites are not in any way maintained by Forecast International. GAMA is a Washington, DC-based association of manufacturers of piston- and turbine-powered general aviation aircraft and rotorcraft. It promotes general aviation issues, such as safety, homeland security, access to airports and airspace, aviation research, and protection of aviation funding. Formed in 1948, HAI promotes the interests of the helicopter industry and provides a forum for rotary-wing aircraft owners, users, manufacturers, and suppliers, as well as service organizations and individuals, for the discussion of developments within the commercial helicopter industry. The HAC has the following objectives: to promote a political and regulatory environment that will foster a prosperous Canadian helicopter industry; to educate members, civil servants, and the general public about issues important to the industry; to promote the continued enhancement of flight safety; to develop expanded utilization of helicopter transport at all levels of Canadian life; and to exchange information on maintenance practices and common issues among its members. The HSAC identifies critical issues that affect safety in the Gulf of Mexico. Through the interaction of HSAC subcommittees and associated organizations, the HSAC continues to be proactive in resolving issues of interest to the industry. The organization says that, through its pledge of "Safety through Cooperation," it has made significant contributions to improved communication and safe practices within the offshore community. Its efforts have been recognized both nationally and internationally.
