The tentative program schedule for the Mi-54 calls for initial ground testing in 2010 and first flight by 2011. Construction of two or three prototypes is envisioned. The lack-of-funding situation that has plagued the project through much of its history appears to have improved somewhat, and this is allowing the Mi-54 to move out of the design phase.
