Road infrastructure plays a major role in facilitating social needs and economic activitiy. Road network assets must be secure and optimally functional in order to generate community outcomes. The development of road assets should be supported and anticipated through the provision of additional physical capacity as well as the management of the condition of the network. Strategies for managing road assets need to be determined to ensure that the assets provide benefits to the community. This paper discussed the strategy for managing road assets in Indonesia. An approach used to estimate road investment impact is also presented.
