摘要

The book "Introduction to Quantum Metrology (Quantum Standards and Instrumentation)" written by Waldemar Nawrocki and published by Springer in 2015, is devoted to quantum standards and its instruments. To the best of my knowledge this is the first book which is written in English in this area. Currently the major field of practical application of quantum metrology is the development of standards of measurement units based on quantum effects. The creation of quantum standards of the base units of the International System (SI) is in accordance with the objectives set by the International Committee for Weights and Measures and realized in collaboration with the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM).
