Having recently left the comfort of the Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) and stepped into that mysterious place called industry, I found the recent article by the Acquisition Focus (The Underfunded Equipment Programme - What Now?) interesting, although possibly not for the same reasons that many of your readers might. I could hear myself, sitting in my 'old office', tut-tutting that once again RUSI had allowed a bunch of 'industry heavies' to rant on about how MoD needed to sort its house out, until I realised that the rather monocular view taken by the article (the 23 things that MoD needs to do) might just appear unbalanced because no one from MoD had contributed with the equivalent shopping list (the (at least) 23 things that industry needs to do) or qualified some of the postulated causes of any current difficulties.
