In this paper, topical issues of detection of defects and assessment of the technical condition of stator core elastic suspension systems of TVV-series high-power turbogenerators by means of a specially developed instrument control method are considered. This method is based on research on the frequencies of free fluctuations arising in elements of the core suspension system when excited by shocks and pulses. Using the example of 300- MW turbogenerator data on the spatial distribution of malfunctions, the locations most subject to the appearance of defects are obtained. Statistical analysis of collected data on the damagea-bility of suspension systems that allowed factors to be revealed having the most significant effect on the location of defects is carried out. On the basis of the results of generalization and analysis of data, the local and integrated probabilistic characteristics of elastic suspension system damageabiiity are found, limits are calculated for the possible number of the defects revealed on a generator taken in isolation, the corresponding volume of repair work is determined. A practical example of use of the specified characteristics for locating suspension system defects during online diagnosis thereof is given.
