Alwyn is a chartered member of IOSH and isrnCroup leader, safety at the Airbus UK plant in Broughton. He leads a team of safety engineers responsible for some 6000 employees based in the UK and overseas - in France, Germany and, more recently, China. At Broughton he has worked with the HSE as part of the site's three-year Intervention Plan, which included a 'culture survey'. Alwyn believes the culture of an organisation plays a significant part in safety performance. His presentation at IOSH 09 will focus on some of his experiences from his direct involvement in culture change, and sharing ideas for others to reflect on.
