SAP and IDS Scheer agreed to found the Institute for Business Process Innovation at last year's SAP Innovation Congress in Basel, Switzerland. At the most recent Innovation Congress, in Orlando, Florida, in February, the companies laid out the guidelines and goals of the joint project: SAP and IDS Scheer are working together on university education, research, and strategic innovation. The institute builds on both companies' long-term partnerships with universities in training and research, as well as their successful product solutions. To open up new areas of research, they plan to cooperate closely with leading academics and innovators. The institute will pass the newfound knowledge on to managers.
