Seen here on March 4th, the second production Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, AF-07, takes to the air for the first time. This comes hot on the heels of AF-06, the first production jet, taking to the air just the previous week. Both aircraft, AF-06 (USAF serial 07-0744) and 07 (07-0745), comprise Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) lot 1 awarded to Lockheed Martin in July 2007. RAF Voyager arrives in the UK Karl Robinson The RAF's first A330-200 Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft (FSTA) arrived at Boscombe Down in Wiltshire on April 18th to start its programme of intensive testing and trials with QinetiQ. At the same time the Ministry of Defence announced that the aircraft, the biggest ever to serve with the RAF, will be known as the KC-30 Voyager in service. 10 Squadron, based at RAF Brize Norton, will take on 14 of these aircraft with the first expected to be entered into service during late 2011.
