With the launch of the seventh and final satellite of the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) on April 28, 2016, India is now in a position to install its own Navigation System and could say 'good bye' to the GPS system owned by the U.S. Air Force, which was being used so long. IRNSS is an initiative taken by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to build an independent satellite navigation system to provide precise position, velocity, time etc. to Indians.
