Dear Editor, I enjoyed reading the article 'Henrietta Lacks and Her Immortal Cell' published in the Science and Culture (Mar-Apr issue, 2016) with personal interest, specially, the unethical use of HeLa cells collected from the cancerous cervix of an illiterate black women without her consent by a John Hopkins University (JHU) Prof. George Gay. He made the immortal cell-line and also injected them in several black cancer patients in USA, also without their consents and distributed them all over the world for many novel research projects and many discoveries in cancer research.
