Agriculture is the backbone of the developing and developed nations. Originally man began producing food from naturally available resources. However, after the World War II, the chemical fertilizers came into farming, which altered the fate of agriculture. Agriculture in India was also traditional and the farmers were unaware of chemical inputs until the 1950's, just before the Green Revolution. To feed the growing population of the country, the Green Revolution was successfully achieved.
