Himalayan uplands are bestowed with innumerable lakes. The state of Arunachal Pradesh is located in the extreme east of India with an area of 83743 Km~2. The region is gifted with large number of lakes holding coldwater biotic resources, which have vast untapped potential for enhancement of fish yield and harbour a variety of commercially important cultivatable fish germplasm resources.
