Doctor 's day was celebrated in the auditorium of Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata on 1st July 2008.rnIn the inaugural address, Dr. C. N. Bhattacharyya, Director of Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Kolkata informed that the study criminology we should take the help of Sherlock Holmes' detective stories. Chief Guest, Dr. Jaydev Biswas, Director, Chittaranjan National Cancer Research, Kolkata gave a brief overview on the disadvantages of tobacco smoking. According to him, tobacco kills a man in every 6 seconds.
