During the month of June, a botanical trip to Pithoragarh District was undertaken with the aim to locate the sacred groves of the District. On enquiry from the local people we came to know that a sacred grove exists very near to Pithoragarh town at an altitude of 1523 m, latitudes N 29~0 32.698, E 080~0 13.717, about 8 km towards Thalkedar hills, (from where the first sacred grove from Pithoragarh District was reported by Negi) from Pithoragarh town, this sacred grove is known as 'Nakuleshwar' (Figure 1 and 2) and has been located and reported for the first time in this paper.
