The book is very comprehensive and covers wide varieties of topics of aquatic biology, aquaculture and biotechnology. Basic concepts of limnology with special reference to wetlands and rivers of North-East India are highlighted. Special emphasis has been given to the rivers, wetlands, beels of Barak drainage system (Assam), Mizoram and Tripura.
