Parthenium hysterophorus is a dangerous weed in present context. The increasing population of Parthenium in India as well as its hazardous effects on human health, cattle population and crop cultivation have made Parthenium a menace for sure. Different methods have been devised to manage the phenomenal growth of this alien weed. Some ecofriendly approaches have been mentioned here with special reference to the possibilities of commercial exploitation of Parthenium.
