Eighty five years ago M.N. Saha and his associates founded Science and Culture. 85 years of survival of a journal is a sufficiently long time to introspect its achievements over time. This article presents a brief history of this journey through its 85-year period. In order to eliminate subjectivity in judgement, particularly when one of the authors is intimately associated with the journal, articles from Nature.Science and Cultureand other sources have been analysed to assess its impact on the society.
