Gary Wiggins, a major influence on many librarians throughout his career as a teacher, a colleague, an author, and a friend, agreed to answer a few questions posed by the Editor. Wiggins is librarian emeritus at Indiana University (IU) and was formerly head of the Chemistry Library and director of the Chemical Information Center at IU; adjunct professor of informatics at IU; coordinator for the science libraries at IU; associate professor (part-time) in the School of Library and Information Science' at IU; and director of the Cheminformatics Program and interim director of the Bioinformatics Program at IU.
