This paper deals nx3 flow-shop problem in which the processing time of jobs associated with probabilities, follow some restrictive rental policy. The concept of equivalent job for a job-block is being included in the study. The object of the paper is to find optimal sequence of jobs which minimizes the total rental cost of the machines. An algorithm has been obtained by using heuristic approach. The algorithm is made clear through numerical illustration.
