摘要

Considering the (SIS) epidemic model where the contraction does not confer immunity and an individual removed for treatment become susceptible again after recovery, the threshold condition for a non zero steady state infected population is ((rN/a)(r~*N~*/a~*) > 1[3]. In this paper, we consider that an SI (Susceptible-Infective) epidemic model assuming that the infected individuals in a particular class, motivated by self consciousness, awareness and self controlling devises check themselves for further spreading the disease to others, then the modified threshold condition for a non zero steady state infected population is K_0 = K_∞ = 2ξ and the condition, necessary for an true epidemic to occur is c~2 pp' > rr'.
