摘要

In this present problem, a theoretical analysis of two dimensional flow of Rivlin-Ericksen fluid through a porous medium bounded by a porous plate has been presented in the presence of transverse magnetic field. The suction velocity perpendicular to the plate fluctuation in magnitude but not in direction about a non-zero constant mean and the free stream velocity fluctuates in time about non-zero constant mean. We have shown graphically the effects of magnetic field (M), permeability (k) of the porous medium and elasticity parameter (β_1) on the velocity and skin friction of the fluid.
