摘要

In this paper we analyze the convective heat transfer through a porous medium in an isosceles triangular duct with insulated base and sidewalls maintained at constant temperature. The flow is assumed to be symmetric with respect to the mid-plane bisecting the base and the Galerkin finite element analysis with nine nodded triangular elements is used to obtain the velocity and temperature distributions at different horizontal and vertical levels for variation in the governing parameters. The Nusselt number on the boundary wall is calculated for different sets of parameters. The non-linear energy and momentum equations that are coupled are solved using iteration process.
