摘要

The purpose of this paper is to present a framework of queueing theoriti-cal methods or the quantitative modeling an analysis of parallel and distributed systems. We discuss a number of queueing models for the performance analysis and optimization of parallel and distributed system. Most of these models are very simple, but display an essential feature of distributed processing. The paper is organized as follows. Section Ⅰ contains discussion of some solution method that have been successful in the performance analysis of parallel and distributed systems. For key models for this performance analysis are discussed in section Ⅱ, with an emphasis on solution methodology. Section Ⅲ, is concerned with mathematical techniques for the optimal control of distributed systems. We distinguish between load balancing, routing server allocation and scheduling.
