摘要

Trandalopril contains a secondary amino group and permits the development of a spectrophotometric method with 1, 2 napthaquinone-4-sulfonic acid (NQS) through the Nucleophilic substitution. In the case of secondary amine, only the quinine imine structure can be taken into account. The absorbance was measured at 480 nm. No interference was observed from the usually existing additives in pharmaceutical formulations and the applicability of the method was examined by analyzing formulations. The results of analysis have been validated statistically and by recovery studies.
