The article states that ship names increase the relation between the people of the US and Navy by honoring a state, city or a leading citizen. The decision-making power of naming a Navy ship is in hands of the secretary of Navy. The authors recommend the names Enterprise for airplane carriers and Iwo Jima for large ships.
