Koji Sekimizu, secretary-general of the International Maritime Organization, will make his first visit to Panama for the opening of the Panama Maritime Ⅺ Conference & Exhibition at end-February. He will act as keynote speaker, addressing 'Sustainable Development: the IMO contribution beyond Rio+20'. Panama Maritime Ⅺ (PMXI) is lining up to be another impressive event at the Megapolis Convention Centre in Panama City, from February 27 to March 1. It will showcase an exhibition of international and local companies, shipping equipment and services, as well as a powerful conference agenda with leading industry figures from around the world discussing a broad spectrum of maritime topics.
