In Thailand, chronic traffic con-gestion in Bangkok is posing environ-mental degradation, economic losses, and other serious problems. To reduce traffic congestion, it is essen-tial to optimize traffic flow by effec-tively providing traffic information and to manage transport demand properly by improving traffic signal control systems.
