Video54 Technologies was incubated in late 2002 at Sequoia and was formerly established in June 2004 to "develop technologies and products that enable the home media network ecosystem." The company's hardware and software technologies deliver improved speeds, whole-house coverage and reliable performance to the vast installed base of home wireless networks to enhance consumer experience in rich data and real-time media applications. Video54 has received less than $5 million in funding from Sequoia Capital and WK Technologies, a Taiwanese VC, and plans to seek additional capital in 2005. The company has 20 employees.
