Rockchip, a Chinese corporation, recently launched what company officials call the worlds lowest power Wi-Fi technology, the Rockchip RKi6000. The RKi6000 is an ultralow-power Wi-Fi and memory technology that reduces power consumption of smart devices by 85 percent, offering more efficient power, a lower price and smaller size than similar products, corporate officials say. Awarded numerous international technical patents, the Rockchip RKi6000 system-on-a-chip processor provides power consumption equal to that of Bluetooth 4.0 low-energy technology. Rockchip's technology also allows devices to use a coin battery, and AAA batteries can be used for up to 35 years. The RKi6000 facilitates Wi-Fi-based smart product design in a variety of markets, including wearables, consumer electronics, mainstream home appliances, home safety, automation systems, automobiles and medical equipment.
