摘要

Le terme de désagriculturalisation renvoie au déclin prématuré du secteur agricole. Dans le cas de l'économie de Trinité et Tobago, le déclin en surface et en contribution du secteur agricole peut être attribué au syndrome de la maladie hollandaise. Ce déclin a des conséquences profondes sur la sécurité alimentaire de l'économie. Les variables clés que l'on associe à la sécurité alimentaire sont l'accessibilité, la disponibilité et l'utilisation. Cet article montre que l'économie de Trinité et Tobago se trouve dans une position d'insécurité alimentaire, et dans le contexte de la maladie hollandaise, la relance et le développement durable du secteur agricole est d'une importance critique pour la position de l'économie en matière de sécurité alimentaire.%Deagriculturalization refers to the premature decline of the agricultural sector. In the case of the T&T economy, the decline in the size and contribution of the agricultural sector can be attributed to the Dutch Disease. The decline in agriculture has far reaching negative effects on the economy's food security position. The key variables that are associated with food security are Accessibility, Availability, Stability and Utilization. This paper shows that the T&T economy is food insecure and within the context of the Dutch Disease, the revival and sustainable development of the agriculture sector is critical to the economy's food security position.
