In Radical Theory, Caribbean Reality: Race, Class and Social Domination, Charles Mills gives us his political theory by mapping his consciousness of race, class and domination. In this collection of essays, we find a body of work grounded in and about radicalism and the radical Caribbean. The work features articles on Marxist philosophy, its application to the region, on race and its intersection with class, critiques of his most famous book, The Racial Contract, and his own critique and appropriation of liberalism. Radical Theory was published in 2010, arriving at a time when across the world, the issue of social domination through capitalism and in particular, the dominance of neoliberal capitalism was being questioned. Mills undertook a study of Marxism when the Caribbean had itself "turned left".
