摘要

The 36th International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE 2014) took place in Hyderabad, India from May 31, 2014 until June 7, 2014. The presented research papers covered a wide range of topics, such as advances in understanding code comprehension, insights on team coordination or approaches to crowdsource the creation of various artifacts in the software development process. There are also a lot of co-located events taking place before and after the ICSE, such as workshops, tutorials and conferences. For my research, the 11th Working Conference on Mining Software Repositories (MSR 2014) and the 22nd International Conference on Program Comprehension (ICPC 2014) were particularly interesting. By attending the ICSE 2014 and its co-located events, I was able to broaden my knowledge about a lot of different areas, keep up to date about the newest research on software engineering, and get the chance to talk to experts in the area of software engineering from both academia and industry.
