摘要

This is the first S~2ERC column submitted for publication to the SEN. The goal of the S~2ERC column is to present an overview of one or more S~2ERC research projects in each SEN issue. This initial column begins with an introduction to the Security and Software Engineering Research Center. Approximately thirty-eight years ago, the National Science Foundation established the Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) Program to encourage cooperative research between academia and industry.
