摘要

It was found that not only specially prepared rubber crumbs or tire reclaim but also large tire chips can be utilized without metal cord removal by joint thermolysis with petroleum residue. Under optimum thermolysis conditions (temperature of 400-415℃, activator additive concentration of 5%, and isothermal exposure time of 30 min with the use of shale or only 3 min with the use of naturally occurring zeolite), the complete dissolution of rubber chips in an amount of 25% on a petroleum residue basis occurred to afford a homogeneous low-viscosity product containing 56-75% target fraction of a binder for asphalt concrete road pavements.
