摘要

The analysis procedures and working formulas are considered for determining the quality parameters of shale form the El-Ladjun deposit as an energy-producing fuel and a technological starting material. A comparative analysis is given of the parameters obtained by direct measurement in experiments and by using the working formulas. The results of calculating the heat of combustion of the carbonate- containing fuels (shales) by the modified Mendeleev formula on the basis of the elemental composition and the content of carbon dioxide (CO_2)_M have the least discrepancy with the true value of this quantity in comparison with the results calculated by other formulas recommended for these purposes.
