A field-induced magnetic transition is observed in quasi-one-dimensional spin system PbCo_2V_2O_8 by means of magnetic and heat capacity measurements. Our experimental results clearly show that an antiferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition occurs in PbCo_2V_2O_8, when a magnetic field larger than 4 T is applied. Such a field-induced magnetic transition is quite similar to that observed in isostructural BaCo_2V_2O_8 or SrCo_2V_2O_8. Therefore, we suggest that this may be a universal feature in quasi-one-dimensional spin-3/2 (Co~(2+)) chain systems, ACo_2V_2O_8.
