This paper presents an overview of the current world energy situation and a projection of some of the ways in which this situation could evolve over the next century. Currently, the Industrialized Countries of the Earth are enjoying, for the most part, adequate Supplies of energy. The Developing countries have relatively little energy at present. Indeed the per Capita consumption is a small fraction of that used in the Industrialized Countries.
