摘要

The drive for space exploration of Phobos and Deimos is strongly supported by the need to understand the basic scientific issues relevant to the Martian moons both as the representatives of the family of the small bodies in the Solar System and as components of the Martian environment. Phobos from the technical point of view is more accessible as a target for space exploration than most of the small bodies. This paper is devoted to Phobos' and Deimos' current understanding, scientific goals for future exploration of These bodies, approach to a mission to Phobos and Deimos, and to a variant of ballistic Scenario of such a mission.
