Asia-pacific region faces different kinds of natural hazards. Drought is one of the worst natural disasters affecting the social and economic life of millions of people every year. Asia-Pacific region is the worst affected due to drought as about 500 million rural people Are subsistence farmers occupying mainly rainfed land with small land holdings. In spite Of the rapid economic development coupled with technological progress damage due to Drought is large.
